Octahedron – Triangle Start Up

$1.99

Express your creativity and have fun assembling this hand-drawn design.  It was inspired by the Zentangle® method of pattern drawing, which uses simple strokes in a mindful way to create small works of art.  Enjoy this activity with your kids, too, as you make something beautiful together.  This octahedron is made up of 8 equilateral triangles.  Make as many octahedrons as you like to use as tabletop decorations, gifts for friends, wall art, tree ornaments, gift containers, etc.

This digital file makes a 4” long octahedron with 8 different designs, called tangles; what makes these tangles especially interesting is that they all started out with triangles.  The file has three color versions. There is a black and white one you can color. I have already colored a second version, but you can certainly add even more color.  The third has a turquoise background which can also have color added.

To make your octahedron, all you need is scissors, rubber cement or glue, and a bit of patience. I know you’ll have as much fun making it as I did drawing it.
