Keepsakes Box 1 – Floral Charms

$1.99

Express your creativity and have fun by coloring and easily fitting together (no glue needed!) this charming keepsakes box I created with 6 Zentangle® patterns (called tangles). Enjoy this activity with your kids, too, as you make something beautiful and personalize it with the colors of your choice. Make as many keepsakes boxes as you like to use as tabletop decorations, wall art, tree ornaments, gift containers, etc. Inspired by the Zentangle® method of pattern drawing, which uses simple strokes in a mindful way to create small works of art, I create small hand-drawn artworks incorporating many tangles. For this keepsakes box I used the tangles named Ahh, Bellinno, Henna Drum, Kelp, Sprigs, and Yumemi. I selected these tangles to showcase the interesting shapes you can create with simple curved and nearly straight lines, plus small circles.

This digital file makes a pair of 4” circles with 6 different tangles. The file has three different version of the cube. There is a black and white one you can color. The one with a pink background can also have color added. The third version I have colored in for you.

To make your keepsakes box, all you need is scissors, something like a key to score lines in the circles, and a bit of patience. Make it special by adding color with colored pens or pencils, fine line markers, crayons, or watercolors. I know you’ll have as much fun making it as I did drawing it.
